Poem
effluve
a smell I can’t seem to shake
no matter where i go
from coast to coast
it follows me on my clothes
𑣲
i can’t seem to figure
where is might be coming from
but as i step off the plane
i get a hint
𑣲
its hard to describe
but it smells deep and dark
neither pleasant nor rank
it just is
𑣲
like a face I hardly recognize
I smell it again
a familiar face:
it stares at me
𑣲
it’s strong here
a home i seem to know
i carry it with me
everywhere i go
